In yet more fallout from Corona several dog tracks that would have closed at the end of the year decided they don’t plan to reopen even if they could. That means there are now over 1000 greyhounds in Florida looking for a new place to lay their sweet, beautiful heads.
I’ve seen articles listing anywhere from 1000-1500 looking for homes now, but between now and December there will be between 4000-5000 dogs looking for homes.
My home is currently full with 2 greyhounds and 2 cats. I wouldn’t be surprised if we foster though if our adoption group puts out a call for help.
