At the Seattle Auto Show they had lots of cars available for a quick lap around the block. The only fun cars I spotted were the V-6 Camaro, Scion FR-S, and Fiat 500 Abarth. I chose the Fiat because I’ve rented a V-6 Camaro and test drove the FR-S a year ago.
The Abarth sounded so good, but it’s charm didn’t end there. Even though it was an automatic, it was a blast to wring out on the very very rainy 15 minute test drive. It’s fast enough and the brakes and steering feel just right. The interior is fine for the price and everything is where it should be. One of the nicer steering wheels I’ve used, too.
It’s a car that’s fun for the sake of being fun. It’s also cheap and gets good gas mileage. What more do you want? Don’t say reliability.
