I completed my first ever oil change today. It’s really not hard, I don’t understand why people would pay a minimum wage shop employee and trust them to do the job. Especially when we hear of those oil change shop horror stories where they drain the gearbox and double fill the engine etc. I’ve now had the car for 2500 miles and I’m pretty sure it was running conventional. So I bought Valvoline synpower, a quality oil filter, and a new drain plug crush washer. I headed over to my friend from the CU Rally Club’s house and he let me use his tools and oil drain pan. Everything is good! Except there’s a squeak coming from my alternator pulley bearing that’s indicative of imminent bearing failure. Oh well that’s for another day I guess!
Notice the snow, rain clouds, and green grass all in the same scene.
