On my way home today, I stopped to fill up the 3 at the Shell station I frequent. It might be a few cents more than the other gas stations I could stop at, but it’s a lot more convenient than stopping at the QT by work. As a result, this is where I fill up most often. Looks like they added chip readers to the pumps.
I shouldn’t be surprised as Visa announced that come October 1, the burden for fraud would fall onto the station and not Visa. I’m more surprised that it’s taken this long for me to see one. I know I used a chip at a pump in France, but as far as the US, this is the first I’ve seen of it.
