I was looking for something else when I ran across this today, from a 1968 issue of Life Magazine. I remember reading that Ford brought in some Cortinas, but I never saw one in real life, and was surprised to find an ad for one.
Oh, 30mpg in 1968. I looked just now and the Scion iA seems to be the highest combined fuel economy non-hybrid vehicle in the US at 37mpg. Yeah, Apples and Oranges and marketing talk, but have we really come that far?
