Block is cut like so down the center bore. Sleeved out to 4in giving it 545ci, or 8.9L in normal units.
Pretty easy so far... right? One cylinder is cut off each side. Time to weld.
The ends of the cranks are cut off then mated in the middle of the journal. Has been designed with the firing order of a V16, minus 4-cylinder of course.
Apparently this bastard is only 8.8" longer than a 'normal' LS1 and is going into a custom chassis 280z... yup. And they've already put one in a Suburban.
And the leftovers are turned into a V4 as shown below (not completed). This V4 was the leftover bits of a V12 that went into a plane (3/4 scale P-51!) and will take any LS1 aftermarket parts.
I'm guessing this entire project came about from the aftermath of Cadillac not making the Sixteen. I picture this mastermind builder's reaction to that horseshit similar to Bill O'Rielly freaking out over a teleprompter.
