You can tell she was a retired mechanics car since the ball joints are cleaner than the windshield. Everything mechanical is new and shiny and the body looks like it hasn’t been touched beyond a quick soak with a hose in the past 38 years. There even some brushed on Tremclad to hide the blemishes.
Driving her home felt like floating on a cloud, the 425ci V8 barely whispering at 80mph and only the lightest touches of the wheel and brakes to alter its course.
Some easy sanding and a lick of paint topped with some new vinyl and it’ll be just as she was in 1978.
Most of you guys guessed correctly yesterday, it’s a 1978 Cadillac Coupe Deville d’Elegance. I’ll try to keep you updated on the progress.
