Welcome to Generation Gap where we ask you about your favorite generation of a certain multi-generational car nameplate. Then, explain why your choice is right to the rest of us uneducated folks.
This week on Generation Gap we’re finally back on European soil with a model line hailing from the continental country of France. Beginning with the venerable 504 and 505 and culminating in the rather pretty (in my opinion) new 508, today’s large family cars come from Peugeot, of course! Will the robust and durable early cars beat out the elegant new 508?
Here are the options:
Peugeot 504 [1968 - 1983]
Peugeot 505 [1979 - 1992]
Peugeot 405 [1987 - 1997 (still made in Middle East)]
Peugeot 406 [1995 - 2004] and facelift
Peugeot 407 [2004 - 2010]
Peugeot 508 [2010 - Present] and facelift
