Jalopnik didn’t do a good enough price break down for me a few weeks back when Genesis announced pricing for the much anticipated G70, so here’s the price and option break down.

There are a total of 5 different trim levels spread across 2 engine and 2 transmission options. For the sake of this breakdown, I’ll only build and price the base,, manual, and top trim. As stated before, the base G70 starts at $34,900. That gets you the model powered by the 2.0 turbocharged I4 252 horses paired to an 8 speed auto and a mpg rating of 22 city/30 highway. With Genesis being part of Hyundai, its standard features list is impressive, especially when compared against lease specials like the 320i, A4, and C Class:

There are 8 exterior color choices. With this being Genesis, they are all luxuriously and extra named:

Santiago Silver

Himalayan Gray

Victoria Black

Casablanca White

Mallorca Blue

Adriatic Blue

Havana Red

Siberian Ice

I chose the nice Malorca Blue color that was previewed. Nicely, all are no cost options as well.

There are only 2 interior leather color choices, well one really. Its black. The only difference between the 2 choices is stitching color. You can have either gray or red. I chose red. Both are no cost options as well.

There are only 5 other options. Things like first aid kits, cargo trays, wheel locks etc. All in, a base G70 is $45,895. Not bad.

The next trim up is the $36,900 AWD model. After that is the $37,900 manual model. There are none of the available option packages for this model. It does comes with different standard features though. Performance features. Like Brembo brakes, full LED headlights, sport exhaust system. This trim also gets different interior leather colors: full on Black, or gray seats with Black stitching. All in, a manual G70 is $38,895. Remember, you cant get AWD or the twin turbo V6 with the manual.

The next trim after the manual is $43,475 twin turbo V6 rwd. The top trim is the V6 awd at $45,750. I built the rwd model. Standard features of this model are:Shift-by-Wire

On every level, the G70 looks to put the Germans on notice. Its performance, pricing and features shows again that Genesis is willing to undercut the competition price and performance wise to try and be the best. Hopefully it works. And hopefully, either this or a G90 will be my next Hyundai product.
