Had some time to work on the 850R today. drained the crappy old coolant, removed the old thermostat, replaced several hoses with black silicone ones, and put new clamps. Also changed the thermostat while I drained the coolant. Tried to see if the car would warm up after a new thermostat. Nope, the temperature gauge still sits at the bottom / intermittent. I hooked up my OBD II scanner, and it shows coolant temperature at 206-214 degrees, which is a normal operating temperature. Also moved the horns out of the way from in front of the radiator to near the drivers side foglight. But dammit, now my temperature gauge doesnt even move, and I know the coolant temperature sensor works. sigh. guess ill have to look into that gauge as well when i replace my odometer gear sometime this friday.
