Yes, I have an extra week of no class, my classes will be online for the remainder of the semester (as of right now), and a school Instagram post said (as of right now) that graduation is canceled. I’m less affected than probably 99% of my peers, but it kind of sucks. I’ve developed kind of a rude attitude as it relates to every political agency, media, etc. response to coronavirus. Uninstalling the Channel 2 Action News app, Robinhood, Acorns, and Twitter have been helpful, as is not checking or interacting with Oppo because some of y’all seem worried.
The main gist of my attitude: live life as usual.
So what have I done? I took a big trip with my sister from Thursday-Monday, putting nearly 2,000 miles on my car since I left school. I haven’t traveled far in years, so seeing new places was huge. We mainly went for a wedding, but we got to enjoy everything before the closures. The hotels were booked a month in advance and I had a flu check Sunday the 8th, so this trip was HAPPENING.
Yesterday, the RAV4 got serviced. It got serviced with 99,650 miles, and there were no problems. I’m gonna hit 100,000 this weekend!
Today, I talked to potential jobs. A couple of them said they weren’t really hiring now due to the current events, but a couple were promising. I’m going back to one of the places to talk to a few other people. This place specifically sounds like a great opportunity, even during times where people feel like they don’t wanna leave home.
Tomorrow, I plan on redeeming one of my auto show gift cards and following up with the place I mentioned. Next week, I may try volunteering with a local organization to help the hungry kids. Kemp mandated that the public schools be closed statewide for the rest of the month, so there will be some hungry kids!
My only worry is that I’ll get generally sick (cold). It’s pollen season and all now, but I haven’t been sleeping well due to virus worries, stress with the trip, etc. I hope I can keep strong over the next week and a half in my home area. I hope y’all are doing well, too.
Also, I saw a Great Falls Green Alltrack for sale for around $28,000 brand new (fully loaded leftover 2019). Now how do I ensure that it stays for sale for another few months? 🤔
