My son and I were playing with some Hot Wheels cars before he went off to 1st grade this morning. He mentioned wanting to be a hockey player when he grows up, and he asked me what I wanted to grow up to be when I was a kid. I told him that I had wanted to be a car designer and a race car driver. He put his hand on my back and said, “You can do that dad, you do do anything you want to do. Being a car designer is kinda what you’re doing with the Cougar.” Then, he got back to making car noises and crashing jets into the airport.
For the record, I’m an M.E. graduate, ‘93, and have been in the IT world since ‘96. I doubt I could do anything M.E. related anymore. I also woke up grumpy this morning.
A couple of relevant pictures from my father-in-law’s place of work, taken last January.
