I went to the 2016 D.C. Auto Show about a week and a half ago and took ~385 photos with my Samsung Galaxy S6. It was working fine up until after the show, but it was lagging ever since then and finally decided to crap out on me earlier today. I was hoping you guys could give me some advice.
I thought that by deleting the photos that I took at the show from the phone’s Gallery app, I could mitigate most of the lag, but that didn’t help much at all. I was using Chrome on the S6 when it suddenly changed to the “Powered by Android” screen and stayed there until the battery ran out. I could make the screen go blank temporarily by holding the volume, power and home buttons, but there wasn’t anything else I could do.
If I try to charge the phone, it’ll show a graphic of the empty battery charging (though this screen doesn’t change with the level of charge, the charging LED doesn’t come on even though the phone is charging, and the fast-charging doesn’t work). I tried entering recovery mode by holding the volume-up and power buttons down, but that didn’t work. I can’t get the phone to boot up successfully.
Any ideas? Have a photo that I took with the S6 at the auto show for your time.
