Today. Saturday. I was gonna fix my dead car. That happened. Then a whole lot more happened.
As some of you may have seen the other day my 2003 Dodge Intrepid had died. Well i decided i didn't want it to die and that it was going to be fixed. I wanted to get another month out of it so i was going to ignore the tires, end links, and emissions problems and just fix the radiator and the brakes. How hard could it be? So today i was going to change the radiator. I had practice this morning so my dad started the job then i got home, he left and i finished it. It wasn't very difficult and i was happy with my work.
Then my pops came home and we decided to take it on a drive before we reassembled the lights and this other piece of nameless metal only really there to hold the bumper/lights together but it wasn't really a bracket, but that doesn't matter. So my dad is driving down the road when it starts to overheat. That's just fantastic. So since were overheating and we don't have the lights in he decided to pick up speed so that we could get some air flow through the engine and stop it from overheating. That's not what happened.
The hood latch broke and smashed right into the windshield. Now i don't know if this has ever happened to any of you but it was one of the scariest things that has ever happened in my entire life. I don't think I've ever seen anything move so fast. We were doing upwards of 60 and the way that thing swung you would have thought we were doing 600.
What happened to the rest of my story! damn you kinja (there was more here but ill write it again tomorrow.)
