How to spend $2,200 on a boat in 5 minutes

Do you see it?

Yeah, a new cover, custom made by a local canvas shop plus a side “drape” on the left *ahem* PORT side to keep the sun from fading the blue all day every day. It seems crazy, but restoring color into gelcoat is expensive and/or time consuming, but putting a cover on is easy. Same for the interior, it gets ruined by both sun and water in large enough quantities of either. So keeping it properly covered can extend the life of, well, everything, and it’s worth doing right.

I also had a literal pile of cash burning a hole in my sock drawer so I figured it was a good time to get this done right. But damn, it bit into my mountain bike fund a little more than I would have liked.

Gotta keep that color!
