For reasons which I can not comprehend, Hyundai/Kia doesn’t know how to enter in just the VIN on the VIN bar code on their cars. There’s always an extra letter or number in there, so when I smog I car I have to manually enter in the VIN twenty times. And GM, in their quest to be the shittiest automaker, has done away with VIN barcodes on their cars after 2012.
Now, I know this will never affect owners, but it makes no sense for either of these companies to be so stupid. Did GM save any money by not putting a barcode on their cars? I doubt it. And Hyundai just needs to learn how to enter in 17 characters, AND THAT’S IT, in the vehicle’s VIN barcode.
I didn’t need another reason to not like either of these brands.
