Netflix announced the cancellation of Daredevil after just three seasons. It was highly successful, well rated, and critically acclaimed. So, of course it was cancelled.
From what I read, it had more to do with corporate positioning. Disney is getting more into content streaming, and doesn’t want its properties contributing to competing services. But who knows? I wasn’t fussed at all about Luke Cage going, and The Iron Fist cancellation didn’t bother me much. This bothered me though. Daredevil was a great show with the right mix of action, grit, and hopeful outlook. Now all that’s left is Jessica Jones and The Punisher, and I don’t expect them to last long.
Meanwhile, they remake Spiderman 15 different times in the last 5 years or something. Sheesh.
