Out of all possibilities for a first car, I chose the 2011 Challenger R/T.

Why? It has all the style and looks of a classic with none of the drawbacks. Vintage cars are cool but they lack in reliability and especially safety. Look up "1959 Biscayne crash test vs Malibu"

Other cars, and why I chose the Chally over them

2011-2014 Mustang GT - too common

2010-2013 Camaro SS - too common

2011-2014 Charger R/T - too common.

2007 Jaguar XK - repairs too expensive

1997 Hummer H1 - it's a diesel-holic

2008-2012 Audi S5 - slightly too expensive, not unique enough

C6 Corvette - scrapes on a leaf, only 2 seats

1998-2002 Firebird Formula/TA - already one at school

'57 T-Bird, '65 Mustang, '57 Caddy, '68 Camaro, '79 Trans Am, '71 Riviera - reasons mentioned earlier. I visited a Dodge dealer this weekend and was told that the most important feature for a first car is ESC.

Prius - lol jk

V6 muscle cars - Well, I don't care about speed, as long as its <9 seconds to 60. I only choose the V8 for the sound, and I pay the price with increased crash risk and fuel consumption.

Back to the Challenger: There are thousands of them out there, it's good that I have some time to search. Forget $30,000, they can easily be found for $20,000-$23,000
