People suck. I do not like them, Sam I Am, I do not like these douchebags, man. There was a brief period at the beginning of the pandemic when people were nice. They seemed to get it. But now, people and customers are behaving worse than ever, with a sense of entitlement and disrespect for those working to help them that I have never seen. For this reason and so many others pertaining to human behavior and additional stress in this day and age, I am tired. There is much to expound, but it boils down to just being tired, of everything. Stress has built to dangerous levels for so many of us. My riding buddy has been suffering medically because of it, with almost heart-attack like symptoms despite total health otherwise. Riding is quite literally his doctor’s prescription, so I’m happy and thankful to help pace him. Bicycles have been our saving grace through all this, as two wheeled stress relief, mind time, and self-improvement of the best sort. Enjoy a few photos from a well-earned vista last night, a couple hours of pure exertion, introspection, and peace.

There’s a guy on Instagram and YouTube called @safabrian. Look up his descent videos, they’re nuts. I asked myself, what would @safabrian do? Then I sent it, best I could with 38c gravel tires, rim brakes, crappy surface, and fatboi inertia. Best descent I’ve ever felt on this bike, amazing feeling.

So fuck ‘em. Ride bikes, haul ass, seek those last moments of dying light, and in those 10 seconds or less, be free. Have a good one, Oppo.

*chshhhh (cracks a crispy boi)*
