Shuichi Shigeno is back with a new racing manga.

Upon the completion of Initial D in 2013, Shigeno moved on to new projects Amazing Hana and Sailor Ace. MF Ghost marks his return to automotive-based storytelling.

Synopsis via Anime News Network:

The series taked [sic] place in the 2020s, when self-driving cars are ubiquitous in Japan. The manga centers on Kanata Livington, a Japanese driver who goes back to Japan after graduating at the top of his class at a racing school in England. The series also focuses on the MFG, a racing circuit on public roads that has garnered attention worldwide.

While MF Ghost does not appear to be a direct sequel to Initial D, it does contain references for D fans to speculate over:

We probably won’t see an éX-Driver -level of detail on what our autonomous future could look like, but we will see other technologies that were’t around for Initial D. For one thing, MFG races are filmed using drones. And of course, we can look forward to new cars:

MF Ghost can be found in current issues of Young Magazine.
