You either want your car to exaggerate, complement, or match your very essence. I’m of the later camp which leads me to love subtlety and restraint while still exemplifying an unyielding drive for progress in order to arrive at an elevated state of being. I’m extremely into the Korean brands because it’s like looking into a mirror and watching them grow at the same rate and arrive at the same place of maturity as myself.
Hopefully they get to a point where they benchmark themselves because it seems like every brand is at their best when they are focused on besting themselves instead of the current front runners.
Changing perceptions without preaching or pestering is a slow process but the peace you find is worth the work. That’s a portion of my ethos anyways. Well, more like a subset of my nindō.
