I was driving on the interstate today and I saw a Sequoia. That got me thinking, I think Toyota is the only brand that has two, distinctively different full size SUVs. The Sequoia:
And the LandCruiser:
They are totally different platforms (with the LC being it’s own, and the Sequoia based on the Tundra) but they do share the same engine.
I guess it even extends past full size SUVs with Toyota even. Since they have the 4Runner and Highlander which are both “Midsize” but totally different platforms (Highlander based on Camry, 4Runner based on LandCruiser Prado). Is there any other brand with as much segment overlap, with totally different platforms?
