Car buying is just a pain in the @$$. Salespeople aren’t even personable anymore. They want to lowball, and I mean seriously lowball, you on a trade. I get that CARMAX isn’t always the most reasonable, but to offer $13,000 for a car that they themselves sell for $20,000 with the same miles? To bring me some bull story of a “Kelley Blue Book” offer of $9,000 to say they were significantly higher? BTW, I ran the same KBB instant case offer and came away with just under $16,000, so I’m not sure who they think they’re dealing with? I don’t know. And the dealers with the car I want stonewall everything, lowball when I can clearly see what the same car with the same miles, or more, are selling for. I understand that they have to make a profit somehow, but being very insulting isn’t the way to do that effectively. Ugh....

All this because I wanted to drive a fun car again...
