My mom's brother. He rarely visits, but when he does, you can hear him coming quite a ways away. His truck, the beast, is a 1996-1999 Chevy Suburban LT 2500 4x4 with the 6.5 liter turbo diesel. I believe it was not only the last diesel Suburban, but the last diesel full-sized SUV for those not wanting to suffer the scorn that comes with driving a Ford Excursion. The 'Burban sounds like a Union Pacific locomotive running straight pipes, but apparently, with the upgraded tranny, axle, and suspension (can you tell I know a lot about these trucks?) it will haul or tow pretty much anything over or though any obstacle. Oh, and it has steelies and barn-doors. I figured there are some people on here who will appreciate a truck like that, or at least know more about it than me, so I figured I'd share. The above is not an actual SR20, but it's identical.
