Unfortunately (or maybe not) without hold music. The unemployment department sent a letter, at least electronically, saying to contact them regarding ‘activation’ of my new claim. Nobody answers and so I wait on hold, being cut off after 30 minutes. They say to call back tomorrow, but you know it’s going to be the same thing, so might as well call back now. There’s also a little anxiety involved and if like to get the info ASAP and plan accordingly.
I understand that they’re incredibly busy, and thus I feel no anger or desire to yell at anyone once I do get a human on the line. I just wish there was an alternate method to contact them and resolve this issue, whatever it may be. Looking at their website it’s hard to tell if I’ve been approved, if I’ll get paid, how long I’ll get paid, etc. - the information seems to change from week to week.
