Not quite a week ago I told the salesman at a dealership that if they drop the price I’d be happy to know. The salesman responded that I should make an offer and he asked what price would get the sale done. I considered my options; sent over an offer that was $900 under current asking price. I was informed they weren’t willing to go down any more on their listed price.
Wait, what? You asked me for an offer. I know we are a little ways apart, that’s why I encouraged you to be in touch if you dropped the price. Why did you ask me for an offer if you didn’t want to go down at all? I get you were trying to stay in contact, work the lead, and hopefully close a sale but now I’m confused.
