Last night

Tomorrow I return to Mexico City, and I leave Galicia with the same conclusion I always leave with, twenty-odd trips later.

Avion’s “terreiro” or town plaza. Here is where most celebrations are hosted, and it’s got a good view of other towns down the road, and a nice church.
Terreiro refers to large, open area near a town’s center. In the past the area was unpaved (terra), but now most of the localities have paved plazas.

I don’t know what scares me more about my “home town”, whether how different I am from them, or how alike I am to them.

Perhaps that statement, together with “whole milk” and “of wealth, an exuberance” is really all I can elaborate without spiraling into an identity crisis.

Can’t deny I enjoyed the smooth pavement, though.
