I posted yesterday asking about oil for my ‘89 Camry, named Carl by various daughters of mine who have had this car assigned to them. After careful consideration of the carefully considered replies, I decided to serve Carl a cocktail of whatever oil I had on hand with a 30 in the viscosity and the cheapest filter available at O’Reilley.
I’ve owned Carl for ten years — I sold a ‘99 Camry and bought the ‘89 — and over 100,000 miles. Best car I’ve ever owned, bar none. So many new parts in the past two years, but that’s what keeps Carl fine.
