I checked my rear brakes on my ‘07 Si with 100,000 miles because my wife heard a squeak. It turns out the rears are fine but when I checked the fronts, 3 pads were fine and one was nearly to the backing plate. The problem is that the rust gets in between the stainless shim and the bracket, which pushes the shim up locking the pad. The stuck inner pad no longer moves so that the outer which does slide does all the work. Gotta love life in the upper midwest. Interestingly it never pulled under braking.
