The mudslides here in CA have claimed at least 6 lives now. Just heard they pulled two people alive from the mud. It is a huge disaster especially to all the people who just missed having their lives ruined from fire, now their lives are being ruined from much needed rain...
As you can see there is literally no vegetation left from the 281,893 acre Thomas fire to hold that dirt.

While not directly affected by the mudslides, I have lots of friends in that area I am worried about. As far as I can tell they are all safe. Cell phones have been in and out in the area and certain carriers have had no coverage.
