We just got back from picking up my Saturn from its annual state inspection....on the way there- someone came to a dead stop in the right lane of the Rt 83/Rt30 interchange. I'm figuring the lady (yes it was an old woman) panicked because she was about to miss her exit.
The car directly behind the stopped car didn't react in time and rear ended the stopped car. My son saw what was happening- and layed on the brakes enganging the anti-lock.
He eased up at the last second and pulled right up to the car that rear-ended the old lady. I asked him why he did that and he knew that the car behind him was tailgating him and he figured that if he used all the road he had available for stopping the car-he might avoid getting rear-ended.
