I love crappy cars. I find inept handling and languid acceleration endearing in an older car. Therefore, I adore the 1974 Bricklin SV-1. Oh yes, it’s about to get 70’s in here.

I recently drove this SV-1 as part of a review for Driving.ca. If you’re interested, the full article can be found here. I always had a sick love for the Bricklin. I know they were built with all the care and precision of a Siberian labourer at the end of a 13 hour shift but I just don’t care. It’s unique! It’s old! It smells like New Brunswick and glue!

It honestly drives a lot like my old 1988 Firebird. It feels heavy and solid on the road and you can barely hear the V8 over the sound of creaking panels. But man is it fun. Would you rather have a DeLorean or this?
