Ive mentioned that my dream is to own a seven car garage where every vehicle is planned for years in advance. Note that Im not counting household, purely personal. I am 100% serious by the way. Here are 4 out of 7:

2018-2023 Kia Stinger GT

(Replaces 2006 Kia Amanti)

Though I love all the upmarket Korean sedans, the Stinger is probably the right compromise between the softer G80 Sport and the more aggressive upcoming G70 3.3T. I have followed the car for like five years now and it’s dead on what I want in a daily down to running 87 octane (like all US Hyundai-Kia products).

2018-2020 Dodge Durango SRT

(Replaces 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 Laredo X)

The SRT fixed the interior materials and gear selector. I like the third row, towing, and the new styling. Also, I love my WK2 except the “truckish” traits engineered into it and expect this to answer my final wants.

2011-2013 Jaguar XJ Supersport

(Replaces 2012 Jaguar XF 5.0 Base)

I fell in love with the XJ upon launch. Oddly enough it’s the only current Jaguar I’ve never driven. I think the Riva line and interior design will age just fine and I don’t touch the infotainment anyways. I do think I want the standard wheelbase now since that seemed the right size for me.

2014-2017 Maserati GranTurismo MC Convertible

Ive always wanted a “night car.” Something you drive downtown or around town after the sun goes down. The sound, the style, the non-existence in my area, and the ability to have three adult passengers inside a convertible are simply unbeatable. Plus, I don’t like the rear light housings since they are too big but I do like the rear running lights. I need to have a Maserati. They’re my on-and-off favorite brand and I have been fantasizing about owning a Maser nonstop.

The plan is to hold on to cars until I obtain their goal replacements. The other three cars arent definites yet though I just need to check out a square-light C4 Corvette and see how prices move as this decade ends for the rest.

*These are plans out to 2040 and I dont expect to start this until 2019/2020.
