New project sitting on the garage. My grandpa scored this cherry 1934 Ford Pickup last week and we brought it home last Saturday. Here are a couple pics from loading it up.

The pickup is in fantastic shape. Little to no rust, only needing one patch at most, will know more after stripping the paint. The doors and grille shell are the best pieces I’ve seen on a project in at least 10 years.

The bed is also in amazing shape. I can’t find a single dent in the sides. The pickup was hot rodded in the late 50s-early 60s by my guess at what parts are on the pickup. The motor in between the frame rails is a 56 Chevy 265, that is out of a corvette based on the casting numbers and the dual point distributor. It’s backed by a 50s ford pickup 3 speed. The steering is a drag link setup using a 50s ford pickup steering box. Has a dropped axle and juice brakes. Dash is uncut, seat is in great shape. This is going to be a fun project. The initial plan is to build a true period correct hot rod. Currently debating chopping the top, I’m leaning to leaving it as is.
