Second time round it’s much better.

Then my terrible sanding and prep work lead to this... I was going to leave it initially:

And now that Kristin is back on the road I had to get back to it. That poor attempt got to me, couldn’t stand the visible sanding marks up front. So I spent one whole afternoon sanding everything down all over again with a sponge, and repainted it today:

I still missed a layer of wet coat paint before the matte clear coat, so very up close it still looks grainy in some parts, but it’s a massive improvement.

I’ll take it for now... for real, until it peels again.

...and I’m done. No more peeling or tied down steering controls.
