When the stinger was being rolled out I said to myself “this is the off lease sport sedan I want for my family in a few years once it’s depreciated.” But as details emerge, it looks like the G70 will be the car that really beckons. Things I like about the G70:

- shorter wheelbase and length; almost compact by modern standards at 184 inches

- latest rumors are still that the U.S. will get a manual transmission (though I suspect if it happens the same will happen for the stinger)

- I find it slightly more striking

What it lacks compared to the stinger:

- a lift back

It’ll be interesting to see pricing between the two cars once released and which suffers worse depreciation. I think the stinger will have broader appeal but if the g70 gets a manual I get the sense it could get a cult following.
