Yesterday, one of the most hideous retros, the Chrysler PT Cruiser, was our spotlight. Unsurprisingly, even if the price is right, you folks gave it a Crack Pipe. Today's NPoCP.ph is a little bit different. We're gonna bring in an underrated, the Honda Prelude Type S.
Honda, throughout the 20th century, have created great cars. There were the mainstream models like the Civic and Accord, and crappy cars like the Insight and Passport (which is basically an Isuzu Rodeo). Only a few Hondas stood out through the brand, and one of them, I believe, is the Prelude. I've seen less Preludes in Honda meetup photos than Odysseys in hellaflush costumes.
This model is the Type S, a meaner version only made for Japan. It was brought here, converted to right-hand-drive (since the government banned RHD on their roads) and boom! Just drive it. Going back to the Prelude, here's the rap sheet.
- Converted (RHD > LHD)
- Most parts are stock.
- M/T Transmission (Good!)
- Last Oil Change: 134160 miles
This looks pretty good. The body, the interior, the seats: clean! However, the engine isn't, but that doesn't change my mind in my shopping list for college. So...
- Nice Price: It could be the prelude of something new!
- Crack Pipe: Burn this ricer to the ground!
