NPR reports new Corvette

Yesterday on the way home from work, NPR's newscaster Jack Speer suddenly, out of the blue, without warning, started talking about the new Chevy Corvette Stingray, mentioning its 460-hp engine, 0-60 time of under 4 seconds, and ability to shut down half its cylinders.

This doesn't sound that unusual, except that of course, it IS. NPR rarely reports on the unveiling of new cars, though I guess the Corvette is an important American icon, and thus got the air time. Got a kick out of it nonetheless.
