Oh, hello there.

I’m a sucker for abandoned cars and buildings, and musta drove past this one many times, but never noticed it as I always approached from the North. Yesterday I was coming from the South and saw this ElCamino sitting in front of a similarly neglected building.

Poor thing’s had all its windows smashed.

And I’m not sure if it had seats at one point (and a complete dash) or if they were stolen. The fact that none of the lights are broken, and there is as much left of it as there is makes me wonder how long its been sitting. If this had been in the city, I’m sure vandals would have taken, or taken a blunt object to them long ago.

There was a box of parts in the cabin and some miscellany in the bed, leading me to believe it was/is someone’s project.

Looks like it dragged up from AZ, where it last lived it seems until the plates expired in ‘98.

The building it is in front of:

Lots of faded warning signs about flammable materials, I wonder what it was used for, and if it currently is being used.

Edit: Forgot I was going to check Google Maps before posting. Looks like it’s been there since 2013, according to the Street View date. Its been moved out of the field, but otherwise left untouched. I wonder if they pulled it out to sell it. I should check craigslist...
