I’ve always felt bad for Mitsubishi, especially the Outlander and Outlander Sport. Both crossovers are pretty nice inside, have good safety scores, are reliable, and can be purchased for great prices. In fact, if the engine was a little more powerful and the dealer network was larger, I’d be driving a 2012 Outlander right now instead of a RAV4. However, upon checking to see if the Eclipse Cross is out yet, I found an Outlander PHEV (which is out now, by the way), with probably one of my favorite car features, besides Smart Key/Push Button Start.

Yes, a real power outlet. Not a USB plug hidden in the armrest, not a cigarette lighter you can plug a charger into. A true, household outlet. My RAV4 has one, in the same spot as this Outlander. Though my RAV4 doesn’t have the circle at the bottom (it only has the two rectangles), it comes in handy with charging my phone. With a cable plugged into a USB port in the car, I don’t get fast charging, but with the cube and an actual outlet, I’m very sure I do. It’s amazing. Good job, Mitsubishi.
