The nearest to being inside a Koenigsegg Regera that most of us will ever be.

Things I didn’t know:

The Koenigsegg name is obviously not Swedish, but the original German branch of the family is still is situ in the small town of Königseggwald (yes, they can still into umlauts) in SW Germany. They’ve been there since the 1100s and one of their number, Max zu Königsegg*, is still on the town council, because tradition.


*Max to his friends. Maximilian, Graf zu Königsegg**, to you, sunshine.

** Hereditary titles and the associated entitlements were abolished in Germany in 1919 so he isn’t really a Graf. However, if you’re called after the town and your innumerable ancestors have been the local Graf...
