It’s my sisters car, its 4.5 hours away in Indiana at her college. Its a 2012 Kia Soul and it got flooded overnight while it was sitting in the parking lot. I don’t have experience with flooded cars so I don’t really know where to start. It got tall enough to leave some standing water in the interior. She hasn’t done anything to it yet. Should she start it? if it starts should she drive it? Should it immediately be taken to a shop to have fluids changed. Should insurance immediately be called. I don’t really know where to start. If anything has to be done I will probably have to drive down there from Michigan to do it.

I will update with more pictures and information as I receive it.

UPDATE: She says it was approximately two feet of water.

2nd Update: She just called and said it started and she moved it. Says the brakes and engine and trans felt fine but that the carpet is wet.

Says this is a waterline on the seat
