The Tug Hill plateau, north of Syracuse and east of Lake Ontario, is renowned for annual snowfalls that regularly top 300". I found this video that's resplendent with guys meeting winter's thermal challenge outfitted with LLBean and Woolrich and Stormy Kromer, tackling the challenge of keeping those snowy rural byways passable with a fleet of prehistoric arctic Road Warrior-esque snow fighters that appear to be alot more capable than one might expect...but then I remembered that this mechanical era was also already giving birth to DC-3s and maybe not as frail as one might think.
