Pop, Kick, and Dump . . .

. . . the clutch all mean the same thing, correct?

To clarify, when learning how to push start a car with a manual transmission I was told to “pop” the clutch. Meaning, you have the clutch pushed all the way in and suddenly release it.


I always see people saying kick the clutch or dump the clutch and it seems like it means the same thing, but maybe not?
