Mitsubishi is talking about closing its Normal, IL plant. (production 58,188 units | capacity 240,000 units) I am posting this because I haven’t seen it elsewhere. I am under the belief that the only reason Mitsubishi has stayed in the U.S. market is because they have a U.S. plant. For years I was under the belief that they should have utilized this plant to make a mini-pick-up version of the Outlander Sport [ASX / RVR ], but now I think it would be too late to jump into the game with the new Chevrolet Colorado out and Hyundai planning a mini-ute. Plus the Outlander Sport is starting to get dated.
