I am currently making molds of 1:25 scale Jaguar and Ford suspension parts with polymer clay, because I want to complete the (many) model cars the pieces come from and still have suspension bits to play with. I am then going to make new parts out of poly-repair epoxy. Also, because ERTL didn't make an accurate model of a Ford Falcon's front suspension, ERTL is lame and a shiny model Mustang suspension (the same) is my bestest friend.
All this is in service of the "does it weigh the same as a duck" analysis of building an amphibious car: 1:25 scale mockup. SR-20 of "what does an amphibious Ranchero with Mustang bumpers look like?" will follow when it is a bit more complete.
And some people use ovens for food. Pfah.
