The range is 15 miles. It’s in the center screen, bottom right. “Fuel” gauge is the one on the right.

At least for someone that pays attention. But seriously, from where I sat there were three DC Fast chargers within three miles of me.

I will be completely honest with you guys, having an EV with only 125 miles of range has led me to sit down and think out trips. Even if I’m going less than 50 miles and I don’t have a full charge I will go over in my head where the chargers are. But I would do this even with my TDI. When I went to Phoenix for Thanksgiving I checked to see how many miles it was and if I would be able to get all the way there without stopping (for fuel). And I always account for margins. In the TDI I need to worry about wind. In the e-Golf, I need to worry about (cabin) temperature. And hills.

But I’m coming up on one year and I have never had “range anxiety.” Just charge anxiety. When I went to Radwood in LA I made sure there were plenty of charging options. But when I was about to get home I turned around and went back to LA to have dinner with ImmoralMinority. The trip home took some planning as it was late, I was tired, and I didn’t want to wait for a charger. Even after driving around Santa Monica trying to get an open charger I had plenty of range.

I would have had range anxiety if I was stupid and just went home and hoped to make it. I assume people that run out of gas on the road would have issues with an electric car.
