One of my coworkers got fired today for standing up to my boss and telling her how the majority of us truly feel about what we do. We are paid below average, too much is expected out of us and there are people with Masters degrees making barely more than those without them.

He seemed like a really eager guy, he was good at what he did and proved everybody wrong by having the job he did.

My question? Is sticking to you guns better than quietly accepting a bad work environment? My main complaint is being micromanaged by my boss and not being paid enough, as with pretty much everyone else.
