Wow, I shouldn't have clicked on the 'trending on Kinja' articles. I knew I shouldn't; it's a lesson I learned ages ago. But I thought that as long as I stayed out of Jezebel, it'd be okay. I was wrong.
The article I clicked was "Floyd Mayweather Watched His Friend's Murder-Suicide on FaceTime"
Here's the very first comment, by a person with the catchy handle 'KILL ALL MEN':
All men should be kept inside of a cage like a wild beasts. The world's population of women is kept artifically low by the billions of women who have been murdered by their small dicked partners.
MEN CAN NOT CONTROL THEIR ANGER
MEN CAN NOT CONTROL THEIR DICK
MEN ARE EMOTIONAL
MEN ARE A THREAT
MEN ARE DANGEROUS
MEN COMMIT 99.99999% OF ALL MASS KILLINGS IN THE WORLD
MEN MAKE UP 98% OF ALL CHILD MOLESTERS
If I said that about any group I don't belong to — whether it's a gender, race, religion, nationality, etc etc etc, I'd be banned and probably hunted down in real life. But this comment has been promoted out of the greys and has 60-ish stars. How is hate speech okay sometimes and not others?

Sorry for the rant, that was just really burning me up. Thanks for listening. Have some funny: Oppo is all about Gifs, right?
Edit: I'm an idiot who should have read the whole thread. That is all :)
