Well, this is how it goes. I am trying to extricate myself from the litigation part of my practice, and focus on the compliance and problem-solving part. I have been hired to advise a group that is buying a winery and wants to make sure they start right..

So I have a 9.5 - 10 hour round trip tomorrow for a meeting with the client. They will pay me $375/hr for the meeting, $150/hr for drive time, and IRS mileage rate for vehicle expense. My wine industry work is small but growing, and I will do the drive in a second. I will be tired, but that is a lot of money for one day.
